The National Chrysanthemum Society of Australia has links to other bodies throughout the world with a similar dedication to the culture of the chrysanthemum. Within Australia, we are regularly in touch with the West Australian Chrysanthemum Society, The Chrysanthemum Society of Victoria, The South Australian Chrysanthemum and Floral Art Society, Bendigo/Goldfields Chrysanthemum Association, Hobart Horticultural Society, Launceston Horticultural Society, Devonport Chrysanthemum Club, Albury/Wodonga Garden Club, and Muswellbrook Garden Club. All of these groups conduct Chrysanthemum Exhibitions and do much to promote the flower. Internationally , we are in regular communication with the National Chrysanthemum Society (U.K.), National Chrysanthemum Society (U.S.A.), Canadian Chrysanthemum and Dahlia society, the New Zealand National Chrysanthemum Society, The All Japan Chrysanthemum Federation and the Chrysanthemum Society of India. We are also looking to establish links with China and South Africa. You too can share these links with us for many of the above have web pages of their own or convey news of their activities through their members. Simply search on the word chrysanths. Membership of the National Chrysanthemum Society of Australia is $10.00 per annum. Society magazines are produced from time to time and members are advised where they can get plants, of 'guiding' chrysanthemum growers in their area, what is happening in Australia and overseas, where and when the shows are. As the society grows stronger we will also be able to advise of judges. Please give membership a thought. It's open to all at all levels of growing skills. |
